Timed Walk/Run (with TrailMe)

Overview
Weez Walk 2025 participants (both individual and teams) can opt for a competitive experience by taking part in the In-On-Go challenge to become a Winner of Best Time.

Requirements

Weez Walk Organisers only take into account the finishing time recorded on TrailMe for consideration of Best Time awards. Participants who wish to compete for the award must do the following:

  • Download TrailMe
Please download the TrailMe app from Google Play / Apple Store.
  • Account Registration on TrailMe (for new users)
Please use the same email address that you used in your Weez Walk 2025 registration to create your TrailMe account.
  • Weez Walk 2025 Route Activation on TrailMe App
    • If you are registered for Weez Walk 2025 on or before 31 December 2024, you may activate the Weez Walk 2025 event route on TrailMe App starting from 3 January 2025.
    • If you are registered for Weez Walk 2025 on or after 1 January 2025, it may take up to five working days before you can activate the Weez Walk 2025 event route on the TrailMe App.
    • All participants will be able to activate the event route by 18 February 2025 the latest.
    • You may find the TrailMe route activation guide here.
  • Time Tracking
    • Participants are required to use TrailMe to record the finishing time in order to receive the e-Certificate of Completion / Stage Finisher.
    • If total finishing time is more than 24 hours (for both In-One-Go and by stage participants), the record will be disqualified from ranking.
    • Starting and Finishing Points of the event route is fixed on the TrailMe App. You must follow the designated anti-clockwise direction in order for your progress to be properly tracked, regardless of whether you are finishing in-one-go or by stage.

Certificates and Best Time Results

Weez Walk 2025 will provide three types of e-certificates. All e-certificates will be available for preview / download in mid-March 2025.

  • All registered participants can download an e-Certificate of Participation.
  • Participants who have finished the FULL ROUTE (either in-one-go or by stages) and have used TrailMe to record finishing time will also be able to download an e-Certificate of Completion with finishing time.
  • Participants who have completed any stage of the event route with a record on TrailMe (including the in-one-go challenge or any of the six stages of Weez Walk 2025) will be able to download an e-Certificate of Stage Finisher for the specific stage(s) that they have finished.

Calculation of total finishing time and best results is as follows:

  • Participants can try the same event route (both In-One-Go Challenge and stage routes) repeatedly. The shortest finishing time out of all trials will be counted towards the final ranking and result.
  •  Only the In-One-Go Challenge finishing time will be taken into consideration for the Best Time awards. This is also the total finishing time that will be shown on the e-Certificate of Completion for in-one-go finishers.
  •  For participants who finished the full route by stage, the total finishing time on the e-Certificate of Completion will be the sum of the finishing times of all six stages of the event route.
  • The finishing time shown on the e-Certificate of Stage Finisher will be the time recorded on TrailMe App for that specific stage. Therefore, for participants who finish the full route by stage, they will be entitled to receive one e-Certificate of Stage Finisher for each stage (total 6 certificates), one e-Certificate of Completion with total finishing time, and one e-Certificate of Participation.
  • For participants who registered as a team:
    • If only one member is using TrailMe to record the finishing time, said record will be counted for final ranking and result.
    • If more than one member in the team has a finishing time record, the slowest finishing time will be counted for final ranking and result.

Award winners will be announced on the event website and Weez Walk Organisers’ (both The Weez Project and KELY Support Group’s) social media pages.

Leisure Walk/Run

Participants can run / walk along the event route during the event period. There is no limitation on starting / finishing points or finishing time, and there is no pressure to commit to completing a full stage.

TrailMe time tracking is still available to leisure walk participants (if they choose to start their journey at the assigned starting points of each stage), but participants are not required to record their time in the App.

For those who completed any stage and have recorded their finishing time on TrailMe, an e-certificate will be issued reflecting the completion time for that specific stage(s).

All participants will receive an e-Certificate of Participation, regardless of whether they have a full stage (including the In-One-Go challenge) completion record on TrailMe or not.
