Terms and Conditions

By completing the payment process for the registration fee, the participant agrees to accept and comply with all terms and conditions set by The Weez Project and KELY Support Group (collectively, the “Weez Walk Organisers”), as well as the event rules.          
 

1)  Individual Participation and Registration

  • Email Validation: The participant must ensure the email address provided is correct, valid, and capable of receiving notifications from Weez Walk Organisers. Weez Walk Organisers are not responsible for missed notifications due to an invalid or incorrect email address.
  • Emergency Contact: A reachable emergency contact must be provided.
  • Confirmation of Registration: Once successfully paid and confirmed ,registration details of the participant will be fully recorded. Weez Walk Organisers do not accept any requests for transfers.         
     

2) Team Registration

  • Event Team Registration includes Family / Non-corporate teams, Corporate teams and School teams.
  • All members of the team have to be registered at the same time.
  • Requests to change teams or team members will not be entertained by Weez Walk Organisers.
  • Eligibility
    • Team registration should include at least two members and no more than four members, of which one would be the Team Leader of the team.
    • A school team must include at least one full-time student.
  •  Registration Process
    • The Team Leader should complete the registration process on behalf of the team.
    • Once the team has been registered into the system, the Team Leader and all team members will receive a registration confirmation email at the distinct and unique email address that they had provided to confirm the category and personal information that have been submitted are correct.
  • Email Validation
    • Each team member must register with a distinct and unique personal email address ( use of the same email address will be prohibited) to facilitate accurate recording of individual best finishing times in the TrailMe App.
    • Team Leaders and team members must ensure the emails provided are correct, valid, and capable of receiving notifications. Weez Walk Organisers are not responsible for missed notifications due to an invalid or incorrect email address.
  • Emergency Contact:
    • Reachable emergency contacts must be provided for each member of the team.
    • Other team members cannot serve as the emergency contact of a fellow team member.

3)Time Tracking — TrailMe App

  • Upon successful registration, the participant agrees to share part of their personal information (including name, team name, and email address) with a third party for finishing time tracking and ranking purposes.      
     

4) Registration Fee

  • Payment Responsibility:
    • The participant is responsible for completing the registration fee payment by the specified deadline. Weez Walk Organisers will not issue reminders, extend deadlines, nor accept alternative payment methods.
    • Until the registration fee is received and confirmed, registration is considered incomplete.
    • Failure to complete payment on time will result in automatic forfeiture of eligibility.
  • Refund Policy: Registration fees and any donations raised on the participant’s personal donation page are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Donation Clarification: The registration fee is not a donation and is not eligible for a tax-deduction receipt.   
     

5) Duplicate Registration

  • The participant understands that their eligibility is identified by the unique and distinct email address provided at registration.
  • The participant confirms that the unique and distinct email address has not been used to register in the event before, no matter in the same or in a different category of the event. 
  • In the case where the participant does have another eligible registration in the event, it would be under a separate unique and distinct email address that would allow each registration to keep separate time tracking records.     
     

6) Physical Conditions

  • Participants must understand the risks and physical demands in Weez Walk 2025.
  • All participants are urged to seek medical advice of their physical condition before participating in the event. By registering and participating, a participant:

  (a) warrants and confirms to the Weez Walk Organisers that they are physically fit to participate in and complete Weez Walk without any medical or other assistance; and

  (b) agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Weez Walk Organisers from:

  i. any injury or death suffered by the participant or others; and

  ii. any damage to property as a result from not being physically fit to participate.   
 

7) Gift Pack Collection

  • Weez Walk Organisers will remind all participants via their registered email to collect their gift packs at the designated location during the specified date and time prior to the event.

 

8) Route Alteration

  •  Weez Walk Organisers reserve the right to change the event route due to weather conditions, actual road situations, or emergencies. 
  •   Relevant details will be announced on the Weez Walk 2025 website, as well as The Weez Project’s or KELY Support Group's social media platforms. 
  •  If changes to the route occur for any of the aforementioned reasons, resulting in participants forfeiting their eligibility to participate, the registration fee will not be refunded.    
         

9) Languages

These terms and conditions are available in both English and Chinese. In the event of any discrepancies, the English version shall prevail. Weez Walk Organisers reserve the right to modify and interpret these terms and conditions, as well as related organiser rules and event requirements, as necessary at any time.
