It breaks my heart to imagine any person struggling with their mental health in silence -- especially teenagers and young people. We're social animals who need connection and togetherness. It's natural to be heard, to feel like we belong, to have our fears, anxieties, and challenges held by those around us, and be supported through the tough bits we all experience.

The WEEZ Project is such an important cause in Hong Kong, and KELY Support Group do valuable essential work to support young people in Hong Kong, and address the growing issue of youth mental health and wellbeing.

This year, I'm walking the WEEZ Walk with my husband, Erin, and we are doing it in one big go. I'm nervous! Last year, I was so lucky to walk, talk and walk some more with one of my bestest friends, Boe, who is doing the walk in two parts this time round and we'll meet up half-way. I've also completed stages alongside another amazing friend, Susie, in the lead-up to the full-whack walk.

There's something powerful about putting one foot in front of the other, and how much lighter those steps feel when you do it alongside another.

Walking is a love language. Whether you're physically walking with someone, or emotionally walking alongside them, we're all here to walk with one another. It makes us human.
